November 17 is student's day!
On November 17, 1946, the World Congress of students was held. The event was organized in Prague for patriotic students. We will not spend a significant day with the Czechs without a game-a party and a fun party. But the story is connected with a bloody story.On October 28, 1939, Czechoslovakia was occupied by the Nazis. At the same time, Prague students and their teachers will march to celebrate one of the holidays of the day of knowledge in the Czechoslovak state. The invaders disperse the March and thus start firing. Medical student Jan Opletal was also killed at the time. After the death of Jan Opletal, on November 15, students will rise again.In the same Kenz, dozens of protesters are captured. On November 17, gestapoists and SS officers surround the dormitory in the morning. More than 1,200 students were arrested and imprisoned in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
